Gingell Mattie Hatchett Janet Jackson Human Resources Committee Page 2 September 29, 2010 HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT - FISCAL YEAR 2011 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT EXTENSION FOR EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY TEAMSTERS LOCAL 214 (OAKLAND COUNT Y SHERIFF’S OFFICE – CORRECTIONAL HEALTH NURSES) An agreement covering approximately 16 Sheriff’s Office employees has been reached providing for a 1.5% wage decrease effective with the pay period beginning September 25, 2010. In addition effective Fiscal Year 2011 the retention bonus will be eliminated. Middleton moved approval of the attached suggested resolution and a direct referral to the Finance Committee. Supported by Gosselin. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Capello and G ingell absent. HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT – FISCAL YEAR 2011 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT EXTENSION FOR EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) COUNCIL 25 An agreement has been negotiated for approximately four Board of Commissioner employees. This agreement provides for a 1.5% wage decrease effective with the pay period beginning September 25, 2010. Should the salary rates for the general, non -represented employee group be reduced less than 1.5% members of this bargaining unit shall have their wages affected in a similar manner. Coleman moved approval of the attached suggested resolution and a direct referral to the Finance Committee. Supported by Jackson. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Capello and Gingell absent. CONSENT AGENDA/COMMUNICATIONS Coleman moved to Received & File Items A & B. Supported by Middleton. A. Position Change Summary Report B. 2010 NACo Achievement Award – HR Department Motion carried on a voice vote.
