The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Scott at 9:05 a.m. in Committee Room A, Auditorium Wing,
County Service Center, Pontiac, Michigan.

MR #11202 SHERIFF’S OFFICE – CONTRACT AMENDMENT #2 FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES IN
THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF BRANDON - 2011
The Charter Township of Brandon has contracted with the Oakland County Sheriff to provide law enforcement
services. The Township is requesting the addition of one Patrol Investigator from September 1 to December 31,
2011 bringing the number of Patrol Investigators to two and total number of Deputies to eleven and one -half.
Nuccio moved the Human Resources Committee Report to t he Board with the recommendation
MR #11202 be adopted. Supported by Dwyer.
Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Greimel absent.

MULTIDEPARTMENTAL; SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND COMMUNITY CO RRECTIONS – 2011 EDWARD BYRNE
MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) PROGRAM INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT AND
REVISED GRANT APPLICATION
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and Community Corrections, along with the Cities of Pontiac and Southfield
are applying for $208,894 of funding under the 2011 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Program for the
period October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2014. Funding is based on Federal allocation and is distributed as
follows: Oakland County $33,180; City of Pontiac $121,903 and City of Southfield $53,811. Oakland County has
been elected to serve as fiduciary and lead agency for the entire award. There is no grant match required. As part
of the FY12 Budget process one GF/GP PTNE 520 hours per year Court De puty I position was created to provide
security after business hours. The JAG award will provide most of the funding for this position. It is requested
funding for this position be changed to Special Revenue.
Zack moved the Human Resources Committee Report to the Board with the recommendation
the above referenced resolution be adopted. Supported by Middleton.
Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Greimel absent.
