AGENDA ITEMS 1. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES – OUTDOOR WARNING SYSTEM EXPANSION – ROSE TOWNSHIP Homeland Security is requesting authorization to enter into an Interlocal agreement with Rose Township to add four sirens to the County’s Outdoor Warning System . The Township will pay seventy-five percent of the total estimated cost of the sirens and the County will pay the remaining twenty-five percent, retain ownership and be responsible for maintenance and electrical costs. Hoffman moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Crawford. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote . 2. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES / HEALTH DIVISION – ADJUSTMENT TO HEALTH DIVISION FEE SCHEDULE The Health Division is requesting authorization to add six new fees to its existing schedule . Ms. Forzley explained that Bacteriological Water Analysis for public pools will remain free of charge and the cost for the bottles and re -agents was rounded to the nearest whole number because the cost to the Health Division flexuates slightly depending on the cost of these supplies. The TB Test for Job Clearance fee is proposed in an effort to get those who have the test to come back for the results. Mr. Miller explained that overhead costs such as building and personnel are not included. Hatchett moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution . Supported by Gershenson. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES/HEALTH DIVISION – INTER- GOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF OAKLAND AND THE CITY OF DETROIT The Health Division is requ esting authorization to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Detroit, required under the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Ex tension Act of 2009, to lay out a framework between Oakland County and the City of Detroit in reporting and providing HIV- related services . The agreement is required between political subdivis ions which have not less than 10 percent of the areas reporte d AIDS cases and provided HIV -related services. Oakland County possesses 11% of HIV/AIDS cases in the Eligible Metropolitan Area Counties . Funds of $1,739,864 have been allocated to community agencies within Oakland County for FY 2010/11 . Crawford moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Gershenson. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote. COMMUNICATIONS A. Road Commission for Oakland County Board Minutes – 10/06/11 Quarles moved to receive and file the communications. Supported by Crawford. Motion carried on a voice vote. OTHER BUSINESS/ADJOURNMENT A letter from Jury Commission appointee William Axtell was discussed. Mr. Ver Ploeg indicated that he would follow up on the committee’s request to find out how Mr. Axtell could donate his salary or a portion thereof back to the County.
