square foot apartment located at 10275 Sashabaw Road in Clarkston, Michigan, which is located
on the grounds of Independence Oaks County Park. The period of the lease is from June 1, 2012,
through December 31, 2017. Under the terms of the lease agreement Matt Bierlein will pay rent
each month, and pay all utility costs. During the term of this lease the Tenant shall secure and
protect the park property and facilities therein, especially during “park closed” hours, to the extent
permitted by law.

2. DEPARTMENT OF FACILITIES MANAGEMENT AND THE WATER RESOURCES
COMMISSIONER – APPROVAL AND ACCEPTANCE OF LEASE AGREEMENT WITH D’ANCO
PROPERTIES, LLC, FOR USE OF INDUSTRIAL BUILDING AND STORAGE YARD AT 30750 W.
8 MILE ROAD, FARMINGTON HILLS, MICHIGAN
In 2011, pursuant to MR #11061, the County of Oakland approved a lease agreement with D’Anco
Properties, LLC to occupy part of an industrial building and cons truction yard located at 30750 W. 8
Mile Road in Farmington Hills for maintenance operations and material storage needs of the Water
Resources Commissioner. Currently, it has been determined that additional warehouse and office
space is required. Since the County does not have a suitable facility in south Oakland County that
would meet the operational requirements of the Water Resources Commissioner’s staff to provide
water main and sanitary sewer maintenance services to numerous comm unities in south Oakland
County, the Departments of Facilities Management and the Water Resources Commissioner are
seeking approval of a lease agreement between the County of Oakland and D’Anco Properties,
LLC for the period of June 21, 2012, through June 30, 2016 , to expand the Water Resources
Commissioners’ occupancy at the aforementioned D’Anco property from 4,300 square feet to 8,085
square feet.
Under the terms of the lease agreement rent will be $5,243.75 per mont h, and the agreement may
be terminated for any reason up on a 90-day notice. The landlord is responsible for maintenance of
the building and grounds, including trash removal, snow and ice removal from sidewalks and
parking lot and payment of utilities and property taxes. Oakland County is responsible for provi ding
and maintaining telephone and computer systems and custodial services.

OTHER BUSINESS/ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner McGillivray requested an update on the Chiller installation. Mr. Holdsworth was present
to give an update. Mr. Holdsworth indicated that they are in the process of getting everything hooked
up, and he is planning on giving a written update to everybody in the courthouse soon , but he stated
that the project should be completed around the first or second week of June. After the chillers are
hooked up the landscape can be repaired and/or replaced.
Chairperson Potts suggested that Mr. Holdsworth keep Commissioner McGillivra y informed on the
status of the project as it moves forward so that Commissioner McGillivray can update the Planning and
Building Committee on the project.
There being no further business to come before the Commi ttee, the meeting adjourned at 9:44 a.m.
