COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Jim Runestad, Bill Dwyer, Gary McGillivray, Shelley G. Taub, Mike Bosnic, Jeff Matis, Marcia Gershenson, Janet Jackson and Craig Covey COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT: None. APPROVAL OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES Taub moved to approve the minutes of July 12, 2012 as printed. Supported by Bosnic. Motion carried on a voice vote. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICES/COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS – MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, OFFICE OF COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS, COMMU NITY CORRECTIONS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND APPLICATION FOR FY 2013 Community Corrections is requesting authorization to submit its FY 2013 application to the Michigan Department of Corrections for funding of $1,796,803. The application also requests fundin g of $1,987,425 for probation residential services. The State will continue to hold, pay and bill for all probation residential services contracts. The County is responsible for requesting the allocation and tracking the costs. Once awarded, the grant w ill continue funding for positions in Community Corrections and the Sheriff’s Office as outlined in the resolution. Taub moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. SHERIFF’S OFFICE – CONTRACT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AT THE MICHIGAN RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL – 2012 SEASON The Sheriff is requesting authorization to enter into a law enforcement agreement with the Michigan Renaissance Festival, operator of the su mmer theatre facility by the same name located in Groveland Township. Deputies will be supplied on an over -time basis with the number of man hours determined by the Sheriff’s Office. McGillivray moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Jackson. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote. PROSECUTING ATTORNEY – REVISION OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2012 BUDGET Due to a reduction in revenue activity, t he Prosecuting Attorney is revising its budget task by requesting authorization to delete one General Fund/General Purpose full -time eligible (GF/GP FTE) Office Assistant II position and create one GF/GP FT non -eligible 2,000 hours/year Office Assistant I position in its Administration Division beginning of Fiscal Year 2 012, September 24, 2011. Dwyer moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Matis. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote.
