The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Scott at 6:49 p.m. in Committee Room A of the
Courthouse Auditorium Wing, County Service Center in Pontiac, Michigan.
HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT:

APPROVAL OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES
Weipert moved to approve the minutes of March 21, 2013, as printed. Supported by
Middleton.
Motion carried on a voice vote.

AGENDA ITEMS
1. HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT/HEALTH DIVISION – INCREASE PAY
RATE OF CHIEF – HEALTH DIVISION MEDICAL SERVICES CLASSIFICATION
The Health and Human Services Department/Health Division is seeking approval of an increase in the
chief’s salary from a three-year step range to a flat rate of $146,773. This salary change is sought to
curtail the turnover rate and to be more competitive in the labor market.
Middleton moved approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Hoffman.
Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Commissioner Hatchett absent.
