Supported by Runestad. Motion carried on a voice vote. PUBLIC COMMENT None. AGENDA ITEMS 1. HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT (DHHS)/HEALTH DIVISION – TRANSFER OF OFFICE OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVICES (OSAS) TO OAKLAND COUNTY COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH AUTHORITY (OCCMHA) AND DELETION OF ASSOCIATED POSITIONS OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS 1200 NORTH TELEGRAPH ROAD, BLDG. 12E, PONTIAC, MICHIGAN 48341 -0475 Telephone: (248) 858 -0100 FAX: (248) 858 -1572 HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE Thomas Middleton Jim Runestad Philip Weipert Mattie Hatchett HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE Page 2 September 18, 2014 The Health Division is requesting authorization to transfer the Office of Substance Abuse Services to the Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority (OCCMHA) pursuant to Public Act 500 of 2012 which changed the designation for the substan ce abuse coordinating agency from Oakland County DHHS/Health to the OCCMHA . The Prior Authorization and Central Evaluation (PACE) function and the Substance Abuse Disorder Health Education function will remain within the DHHS/Health Division. All functions related to administration of substance abu se disorder services will be deleted from the Health Division, including six positions identified within the resolution. These changes will become effective September 30, 2014. Hoffman moved to report to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Weipert. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Hatchett absent. 2. HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT – EXTENSION OF MERIT SYSTEM ELIGIBILITY LISTS Human Resources is requesting c ommittee authorization to extend eligibility lists for 20 classifications, as identified in the memo, for six months. Weipert moved to approve extension of the Merit System Eligibility List. Supported by Jackson. Motion carried on a voice vote. CONSENT AGENDA/COMMUNICATIONS A. Position Change Summary B. Sheriff’s Office FY2015 Secondary Road Patrol and Traffic Accident Prevention program Grant Application Runestad moved to receive and file items A -B. Supported by Weipert. Motion carried on a voice vote.
