Chairperson Spisz called the meeting of the Human Resources Committee to order at 9:21 a.m. in
Committee Room A of the Commissioners’ Auditorium Wing, County Service Center in Pontiac,
Michigan.

1. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN S ERVICES/HEALTH DIVISION –
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF OAKLAND AND OAKLAND
COUNTY COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH AUTHORITY FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION SERVICES
The Department of Health and Human Services/Health Division is seeking approval of an
intergovernmental agreement for suicide prevention services between the Oakland County Community
Mental Health Authority (OCCMHA) and Oakland County. Th e agreement requires the creation of one (1)
Special Revenue (SR) Full-Time Eligible (FTE) Public Health Educator II position for the duration of the
project. The OCCMHA was awarded a five -year grant that will fund the position in the amount of
$165,692 beginning November 1, 201 4 through September 30, 2015. The agreement is anticipated to be
renewed for four more years, from October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2019. The County is not
obligated to continue the position if grant funds are discontinued.
Middleton moved to report to recommend approval of the attached suggested Resolution .
Supported by Weipert.
Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Zack absent.
