MR #15225 – CIRCUIT COURT – POSITION CHANGES The Circuit Court is seeking approval to change two (2) Part-Time Non-Eligible (PTNE) General Fund/General Purpose (GF/GP) Executive Secretary positions into one (1) Full -Time Eligible (FTE) GF/GP Executive Secretary position. Only one of the two part -time positions were currently filled, and that person has retired after 46 years of service. The change will be cost neutral due to remaining funds for this position being reallocated from the Printing Line Item. A transfer of one (1) GF/GP FTE Office Assistant II position from Circuit Court Bu siness Court Division to Circuit Court Family Court Judicial Support Division is planned. The position is not currently filled. Weipert moved to report to recommend approval of the attached suggested Resolution . Supported by Hoffman. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Bowman absent. 2. MR #15224 – PROSECUTING ATTORNEY/LITIGATION DIVISION – UPWARD RECLASSIFICATION OF COURT SERVICE OFFICER II POSITION (#4010201 -10439) TO PROSECUTOR INVESTIGATOR The Prosecuting Attorney is seeking appro val to reclassify one (1) FTE Court Service Officer II position to a Prosecutor Investigator position. Cases submitted that involve juveniles require a lot of investigation to conclude whether it should continue or if there should be another type of resol ution. Some of the duties would include investigations into alibis, witness interviews, and submission of DNA or forensic evidence. The current Court Service Officer II position does not allow for these additional types of duties to be performed. The position is currently vacant, as the person who was in the position has passed away. Additionally, any investigator within the Prosecutor’s Office is required to maintain a Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) certification and be deputized with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Walton stated that there is a liaison officer in a Farmington Hills high school that has had numerous cases processed through the Prosecutor’s Office. She has worked with them exceedingly well, maintains her MCOLES certification, and would be easily deputized. Middleton moved to report to recommend approval of the attached suggested Resolution. Supported by Zack. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Bowman absent. CONSENT AGENDA/COMMUN ICATIONS A. Position Change Summary B.
