Chairperson Weipert called the meeting to order at 9:31 a.m. in Committee Room A of the Courthouse
Auditorium Wing, County Service Center, in Pontiac, Michigan.

PUBLIC COMMENT
Mr. McRoberts, Ms. Williams, Mr. Anderson, Ms. Shepherd, and Mr. Polk each expressed concern with the
water issues they have been experiencing during the Middlebelt Transport Storage Tunnel project being
conducted by the Water Resources Commission. Mr. Sanzica and Mr. Lerner a lso spoke on the issues and
a brief discussion was held.
AGENDA ITEMS
1. FACILITIES MANAGEMENT - APPROVAL AND ACCEPTANCE OF LEASE AGREEMENT WITH
RADEMACHER GROUP ONE, LLC, FOR 52 -2 CLARKSTON DISTRICT COURT BUILDING
Facilities Management is seeking approval for the acceptance of a Lease Agreement between Rademacher
Group One, LLC and Oakland County for the 52/2 District Court building in Clarkston. The current lease is
in its second term of five years , with no options at the end of that lease , expiring in 2021. An additional ten-
year lease has been negotiated at the same rate of a 2% increase for the first two years, and then a 3%
increase for the following years. The four divisions of the 52nd District Court are operated by Oakland
County, and the other district courts are municipal.
Gosselin moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by
Dwyer.
Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote.
2. DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS - UNITED STATES
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY BROWNFIELD CONSORTIUM ASSESSMENT GRANT
ACCEPTANCE
The Department of Economic Development and Community Affairs is requesting acceptance of $600,000 in
grant monies from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the Oakland County
Brownfield Consortium. The consortium consists of six municipal governments, being Farmington Hills,
Ferndale, Hazel Park, Madison Heights, Pontiac, and Southfield, along with Oakland County. Each one of
the six City members gets $60,000 earmarked for their community to spend, and the rest of the $240,000 is
spent county-wide. The partners spend their $60,000 on the projects then are eligible to receive more
funding for a project from the additi onal $240,000.
Scott moved to recommend approva l of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by
McGillivray.

3. DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS - APPROVAL OF
OAKLAND COUNTY BROWNFIELD CONSORTIUM INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
The Department of Economic Development and Community Affairs is requesting approval of an Interlocal
Agreement between Oakland County and the partner municipalities of the Brownfield Consortium as listed
above in Item #2: Farmington Hills, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Mad ison Heights, Pontiac, and Southfield.
Jackson moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by
Crawford.
Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vot e.
