OTHER BUSINESS/ADJOURNMENT
Undersheriff McCabe informed the Commissioners that the DNA lab is projected to be in operation
by June 1, 2017. The DNA lab will be equipp ed with cutting edge technology that will allow them to
do six times the amount of testing that one scientist can do . It will take a couple months to obtain
accreditation for the DNA lab, and staff is currently being trained.
Undersheriff McCabe indica ted that the Sheriff’s Office is actively re cruiting through police
academies in the State, and they have held job fairs every year. An individual needs a two-year
