APPROVAL OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES Spisz moved approval of the minutes of May 16, 2017, as printed. Supported by Berman. Motion carried on a voice vote. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICES/COMMUNIT Y CORRECTIONS – MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, OFFICE OF COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS, COMMUNITY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND APPLICATION FOR FY 2018 The Department of Public Services/Community Corrections is requesting approval of the plan and grant application for State of Michigan funds. Community Corrections is requesting nearly $1.8 million to be used to continue the staff to run the department’s programs and services. The grant period is October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. The resolution has been reviewed by the required departments and Corporation Counsel comments were that there are no unresolved issues at this time. Spisz moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Jackson. Motion carried unanimously on a ro ll call vote. 2. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICES/COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS DIVISION – OAKLAND COUNTY COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE OAKLAND COMMUNITY HEALTH NETWORK FOR SERVICES The Department of Public Services/Community Corrections is s eeking approval to enter into an interlocal agreement with the Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) for mental health services. The request for funding reimbursement for fiscal year 2017 is $15,000. The reimbursement of funds is also requested for fis cal years 2018 and 2019. A new contract was required when Community Mental Health became Oakland County Community Health Network . The former contract was with Common Ground. The interlocal agreement and resolution have completed the review process and w ill be automatically directly referred to the Finance Committee. Tietz moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Jackson. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote. 3. SHERIFF’S OFFICE – MARINE PATROL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF BLOOMFIELD 2017/2018 The Sheriff’s Office is requesting approval to enter into a contract for marine patrol services for Bloomfield Township. The proposed contract will be effective June 17, 2017 through September 30, 2018. The Bloomfield Township board recently voted to add marine deputy patrol at Upper Long Lake during the summer months. Bloomfield Township has joined the 15 other communities that contract for marine patrol services. The resolution and agreement have completed the review process and will be automatically directly referred to the Human Resources and Finance Committees. OTHER BUSINESS Undersheriff McCabe announced that the Press Conference on Gun Violence will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. COMMUNICATIONS None.
