APPROVAL OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES Berman moved approval of the minutes of August 29, 2017, as printed. Supported by McGillivray. Motion carried on a voice vote. PROSECUTING ATTORNEY – FISCAL YEAR 2018 CRIME VICTIM RIGHTS GRANT ACCEPTANCE The Prosecutor’s Office is requesting acceptance of the Crime Vi ctim Rights Grant from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. The grant is in its 26 th year. The funding amount is $238,453 with no required County match. The grant award is a $14,553 increase from last year. The reimbursement grant orig inates from the Crime Victim Rights Fund established in 1989 to pay for mandated crime victim services. The grant reimburses the costs of salaries and partial fringe benefits for four crime victim advocates. Berman moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Supported by Tietz. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Spisz and Jackson absent. COMMUNICATIONS None.
