Chairperson Luebs called the meeting of the Health, Safety and Human Services Committee to order at
12:01 p.m. via Videoconference.

Gershenson moved approval of the agenda, as presented. Seconded by Powell.

OFFICERS’ MEMORIAL DAY AND MAY 10-16, 2020 AS NATIONAL POLICE WEEK
Nelson moved to report to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Seconded
by Kochenderfer.
Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote.
REGULAR AGENDA
2. UPDATE ON LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES
Jim Ryan, Lobbyist, Public Affairs Associates, provided an update on legislative activities at the State
level, including a review of the April 2020 Budget Update from State Budget Director Chris Kolb.
Hoffman moved to receive and file the April 2020 Budget Update from State Budget Director Chris
Kolb. Seconded by Nelson.
Motion carried.
3. WATER RESOURCES COMMISSIONER – OAKLAND-MACOMB INTERCEPTOR DRAIN
DRAINAGE DISTRICT FULL FAITH AND CREDIT RESOLUTION
Nelson moved to recommend approval of the attached suggested resolution. Seconded by
Hoffman.
Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote.
