MEMBERS PRESENT: Helaine Zack, Gwen Markham, Tom Middleton, Marcia Gershenson, Gary McGillivray, Nancy Quarles, Angela Powell, Christine Long MEMBERS ABSENT WITH NOTICE: Eileen Kowall PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Chairperson Zack led the Committee in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Chairperson Zack indicated that the COVID-19 Expenditure Report would be added as Communications Item A, and the Overview of the Tax Foreclosure Case would be added as Item 1. There were no objections. McGillivray moved approval of the agenda, as amended. Seconded by Long. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT None. COMMUNICATIONS A. COVID-19 Expenditure Report Markham moved to receive and file the Communications item. Seconded by Powell. Motion carried. REGULAR AGENDA 1. TAX FORECLOSURE CASE – MICHIGAN SUPREME COURT RULING Peter Menna, Deputy Corporation Counsel, gave a brief review of the Tax Foreclosure case that was recently ruled on by the Michigan Supreme Court. Mr. Menna answered questions posed by the Commissioners. There were no objections. OTHER BUSINESS Budget Overview Sean Carlson, Deputy County Executive, gave a brief overview of the County Executive’s budget process, and Lynn Sonkiss, Fiscal Services Officer, gave a PowerPoint presentation, providing an overview of the Oakland County Executive’s Recommended FY 2021 – FY 2023 Triennial Budget. Powell moved to receive and file the Oakland County Executive’s Recommended FY 2021 – FY 2023 Triennial Budget PowerPoint presentation. Seconded by Markham. Motion carried. 2. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNITY AFFAIRS – STRATEGIC PLAN Sean Carlson, Deputy County Executive, Jeff Marcell, Charlie Perham, Alex Cooke, and Jaclyn Le, Theory Into Practice (TIP), gave a PowerPoint presentation, providing a brief overview of the Economic Development Strategic Plan for Oakland County. Quarles moved to receive and file the Economic Development & Community Affairs – Strategic Plan. Seconded by Long. Motion carried.
