Public Services - Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Center - Resolution Establishing FY 2023 - 2025
Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center Fees
Chairperson and Members of the Board:
WHEREAS the Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center administers the provisions of P.A.
339 of 1919 as amended (the Dog Law); and
WHEREAS it is the policy of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners to permit the Animal Shelter and
Pet Adoption Center to enter into agreements with townships, villages, and cities for the purpose of providing
boarding of stray animals, euthanasia, and disposal of owner relinquished animals, as well as rabies specimen
preparation and transport for those requiring it; and
WHEREAS the County administration and the Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center developed the
2023/2024/2025 rates for the period commencing October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2025.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners hereby establish
the following Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center rates for boarding, rabies specimen
preparation/transportation and disposal to be charged to municipalities purchasing service contracts with the
Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center:
