The CACC seeks to represent the estimated 25,000 Chaldean -owned businesses in Michigan. The CCF provides social services and acculturation to more than 49,000 individuals annually. Martin is also the Publisher of the Chaldean News, a monthly magazine distributed to over 10,000 Chaldean households. In addition, he manages the Ark Angel Fund (AAF), which supports early- stage/start-up investments. The AAF has disbursed its initial $1 million and will soon launch AAF II with a raise of $5 million to help fund early -stage start-up, companies, including those in Oakland County. Martin oversees a $50 million Van Dyke Development project which includes retail space in addition to 135 housing units. The development will transform an underserved area and is expected to garner more than $100 million of new investments in the region. He also heads a $50 million project in Oakland County — a new transformative CACC/CCF center with workforce training (including a partnership with the operating engineers), affordable housing, and senior assisted living. Personally, Martin owns rights to all Hungry Howie's franchises in the City of Detroit, owns 5.5 acres in Detroit that is currently being reviewed for 180 new Multi -family units, and owns several acres in the Lake Fenton area where he partnered with a developer for single family homes. He is also currently reviewing a multi -family development on 30 acres he owns in Chesterfield Township. Martin is involved in several civic and community affairs. He serves as Director for New Detroit, Advancing Macomb, and Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.
