The last increase in bi-weekly contributions to employee healthcare was in 2009. This would apply to all non- represented employees and represented employees whose bargaining agreement provides for the same benefit modifications as the general non-represented employees. This will save the County an estimated $900,000 in healthcare costs through employee contributions. POLICY ANALYSIS The proposed increase to employee healthcare contributions is part of the county’s 5-year plan to support cost savings. Additional changes to come include increases in Rx in FY 2025 and potentially FY 2026. These changes have been reviewed and agreed to by the unions as well.
