The Centrex system is for emergency backup telephone service. POLICY ANALYSIS The request is for the approval to Amendment #1 to the Lease Agreement with Michigan Bell Telephone company (d/b/a AT&T Michigan) to continue to house equipment in the County buildings for the Centrex telephone system that is utilized as a back-up for the County telephone system. The Lease Agreement was approved through MR #17049. The term of the lease is from March 20,2022 through March 19, 2027. The equipment room is in room C-21-B, approximately 1,348 square feet (gross) located in the basement of the Oakland County Courthouse. In lieu of rent, AT&T will provide the Centrex telephone system, related equipment and services for a back-up telephone system. The County expenses will provide all lighting, heat and electricity. Facilities Management, Information Technology and Corporation Counsel developed and approved Amendment #1 with AT&T. On final approval of the Board, the Chairman will execute the lease and related documents. A budget amendment is not required at this time.
