Since that time, multiple supplemental agreements have been established for representation for employees in other departments. Most recently, the County of Oakland and the UAW have negotiated a supplemental Agreement for supervisory and non-supervisory employees in the Circuit Court Jury Office. This agreement is for the period of October 20, 2022, through September 30, 2024, and covers three (3) FTE employees in the classifications of Supervisory Jury Office, Jury Office Leader, and Jury Clerk. Original CBA November 17, 2022 RESOLUTION #2022-2200 _ 22-369 Sponsored By: Kristen Nelson Human Resources - Collective Bargaining Agreement Fiscal Years 2022, 2023, and 2024 Supplemental with the United Auto Workers, Local 889 (UAW), Representing Circuit Court/Jury Office Supervisory and Non-Supervisory Employees Chairperson and Members of the Board: WHEREAS the County of Oakland and the United Auto Workers, Local 889 (UAW) have negotiated a two (2) year Supplemental Agreement for the period October 20, 2022, through September 30, 2024, for supervisory and non-supervisory employees in the Circuit Court Jury Office; and WHEREAS the parties have agreed that the classifications of Supervisory Jury Office, Jury Office Leader, and Jury Clerk, will be represented by this bargaining unit. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves the proposed Supplemental Agreement between the County of Oakland and the United Auto Workers, Local 889, covering the period of October 20, 2022, through September 30, 2024, for supervisory and non-supervisory employees in the Circuit Court Jury Office. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Board Chairperson, on behalf of the County of Oakland, is authorized to execute said supplemental agreements as attached. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the FY 2023 – FY 2024 budgets are amended as detailed in the attached Schedule A - Budget Amendment. November 17, 2022 through September 30, 2024 This Supplemental Agreement is supplemental to and becomes a part of the UAW Local 889 Master Agreement, hereinafter referred to as the “Master Agreement” for the period commencing the 17th day of November for the classifications recognized below. Bulletin Board: • Pursuant to Article 11.3 of the Master Agreement, the employer shall provide one additional bulletin board in the Circuit Court Jury Office. Alternative Work Schedules: • All employees, with approval of their Department Head, shall be eligible to work a 4/10 (four ten-hour days) alternative work schedule. Approval for an employee to work a 4/10 schedule shall not be unreasonably withheld by the Department Head. Holiday Pay and Overtime with Alternative Work Schedules: • All employees working a 4/10 schedule, where the holiday falls on a day in which they are normally scheduled to work, shall receive ten (10) hours holiday pay. • All overtime eligible employees working a 4/10 schedule, shall be entitled to a minimum of three (3) hours overtime pay if called into the office and required to work on their regularly scheduled non-working day, except where the County provides a notice of 3 business days to permit the employee an opportunity to adjust their schedule. Reorganization: • Pursuant to discussions held during negotiations, the union and court are aware that a reorganization of the Jury Office will occur upon the retirement of the Supervisor Jury Office and Jury Office Leader. The present employee in each classification elected to take the Voluntary Separation Incentive Program (VSIP) with a retirement date certain.
