Animal Control Position Deletions, Reduction, and Creation HR Write Up November 17, 2022 RESOLUTION #2022-2175 _ 22-383 Sponsored By: Penny Luebs Public Services - Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Center - Staffing Modification - Positions Deletion, Reduction and Creation Chairperson and Members of the Board: WHEREAS the Animal Control Division has reviewed the overall operations and determined areas where efficiencies could be realized; and WHEREAS currently there are seven (7) vacant Part-Time Non-Eligible (PTNE) staff positions within Animal Control; and WHEREAS an increased work, relating to Animal Shelter Attendant duties, has occurred over the past several years, necessitating the need for additional full-time staff there. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves to delete one (1) GF/GP PTNE 1,000 hours per year Animal Control Officer position (#1070805- 12390), one (1) GF/GP PTNE 1,000 hours per year General Clerical position (#1070801-12372), two (2) GF/GP PTNE 250 hours per year Animal Control Officer positions (#1070805-12392 and 12393) and two (2) GF/GP 275 hours per year General Clerical positions (#1070801-12381 and 12388) within the Animal Control Division. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to decrease the hours of one (1) GF/GP PTNE Veterinarian Technician Assistant position (#1070801-12376) from 275 to 70 hours per year in the Animal Control Administration Unit. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to create one (1) GF/GP FTE Animal Shelter Attendant position in the Animal Control Administration Unit (#1070801). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the FY2023 – FY2025 budgets are amended as reflected in the attached Schedule A budget amendment document.
