The Commission's purpose is to preserve park land and to create recreational, leisure and learning experiences for Oakland County residents. The Commission consists of ten members: • The Road Commissioner for Oakland County • The Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner • The County Executive or their designee • Seven members appointed by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners, not more than three of whom shall be members of the Board of Commissioners Commission members must be Oakland County residents and at least 18 years of age. Members are appointed to serve three-year terms and receive a $90 per diem, as well as mileage reimbursement.
