Paragraph 29 of the agreement provided that an amendment to this agreement must be approved by a resolution of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners and the Charter Township of Brandon. This is a request to amend 2022-2024 Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Charter Township of Brandon. Sheriff Brandon Agreement Amend #1 FINAL November 17, 2022 RESOLUTION #2022-2193 _ 22-378 Sponsored By: Penny Luebs Sheriff’s Office - Interlocal Agreement with the Charter Township of Brandon, Amendment #1 to 2022-2024 Law Enforcement Services Agreement Chairperson and Members of the Board: WHEREAS the Charter Township of Brandon has requested an amendment to the agreement adding one (1) Deputy II (no-fill) position beginning on January 1, 2023, and continuing until the current agreement expires or is terminated; and WHEREAS the Sheriff has agreed to the provisions of Amendment #1 for the Charter Township of Brandon under the terms of this agreement. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves and authorizes its Chairperson to sign Amendment #1 to the original Oakland County Sheriff's Office 2022 – 2024 Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Charter Township of Brandon to add one (1) Deputy II (no-fill) position beginning on January 1, 2023 and continuing until the Oakland County Sheriff's Office 2022 - 2024 Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Charter Township of Brandon expires or is terminated. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to create one (1) GF/GP full-time eligible Deputy II position in the Sheriff’s Office, Patrol Services Division, Brandon Unit (#4030619). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that one (1) marked patrol vehicle with cell phone, mobile radio, prep radio, MDC, and Video Camera be added to the County fleet to satisfy the requirements of Amendment #1. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the future level of service, including the continuation of position(s), is contingent upon the level of funding associated with this agreement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this amendment will take effect January 1, 2023. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the budgets are amended as detailed in the attached Schedule A. That the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves and authorizes its Chairperson to sign Amendment #1 to the original Oakland County Sheriff's Office 2022 – 2024 Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Charter Township of Brandon to add one (1) Deputy II (no-fill) position beginning on January 1, 2023 and continuing until the Oakland County Sheriff's Office 2022 - 2024 Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Charter Township of Brandon expires or is terminated. 2. To create one (1) GF/GP full-time eligible Deputy II position in the Sheriff’s Office, Patrol Services Division, Brandon Unit (#4030619). Create one (1) GF/GP FTE Deputy II position Salary at Step 12 $65,571 Fringes @35.48% $23,265 Total Health Care Based Fringes $13,574 Cost $102,410 OAKLAND COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE 2022-2024 LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF BRANDON Amendment 1 Pursuant to Paragraph 29 of the 2022-2024 Law Enforcement Services Agreement between the COUNTY and the CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF BRANDON (the “Agreement”), the parties hereby agree to amend said Agreement to add one (1) Deputy II (no-fill) position in accordance with the attached Exhibit 1 (Schedule A) beginning on the effective date of this Amendment 1. The attached Exhibit 1 replaces and supersedes the Schedule A attached to the Agreement beginning on the effective date of this Amendment 1. This Amendment 1 shall take effect on January 1, 2023 and shall continue until the Agreement expires or is terminated. All other provisions in the Agreement not otherwise affected by the attached Exhibit 1 remain in full force and effect. FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual assurances, promises, acknowledgments, set forth in this Amendment 1 and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which is hereby acknowledged, the undersigned hereby execute this Amendment 1 on behalf of the Parties, and by doing so legally obligate and bind the Parties to the terms and conditions of this Amendment 1.
