NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves the submission of the 2023 Marine Safety Grant Application from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, for the period January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023, in the amount of $625,907. BE IT FURTHER RESOLOVED that acceptance of this grant does not obligate the County to any future commitment and continuation of this program is contingent upon continued future levels of grant funding. Below are some reminders for completing a Marine Safety Application in MiGrants: • The Authorized Official for your organization is the only person who can initiate an application but once initiated, other staff registered in MiGrants can complete the application • Be sure to save application pages often • If you navigate away from the page in the system without saving your input, you will lose all information you completed. You can navigate away from the system and return to complete if you save your input • To return to your application in process, click on ‘Searches’ and then ‘Applications.’ Change the program drop down to “Marine Safety Grant Application 2023”, leave the other fields blank and hit “Search”. Click on the name (example – MS23-555) to open the application • Once completed, the Authorized Official is the only one who can submit the completed application. If you do not submit the application, DNR grants staff will not know you have completed the application, please be sure to change the status to submit. NOTE: It is a requirement to have the Unique Entity Identifier Number on the grant agreement. Before initiating an application in MiGrants, you need to click on “Administration” and then “Organization”. On that page, you will see a blank field for UEI. You need to put in the 12-digit alphanumeric number in that field and hit the SAVE BUTTON. If you do not know your UEI number, you can consult with your County Clerk or refer to your 2022 marine safety grant agreement, where you were required to fill that in on the signature page.
