INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
Miscellaneous Resolution (MR) #22422 approved the Fiscal Year 2023 United States Department of
Agriculture, Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive – Produce Prescription Grant in the amount of
$453,000 for the period September 15, 2022 through September 14, 2025 with the Health Division.
A portion of the grant award, in the amount of $238,340, will be used to reimburse Oakland
University to conduct program evaluation, provide student support for the project, maintain vendor
contracts, and manage voucher reimbursement.
