November 13, 1968
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mrs. Clark, at 9:45
a.m., at the Supervisor's Auditorium.
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT:
Chairman Frances Clark, Vice Chairman John Carey, Secretary Velma
Austin, Daniel Murphy, Clarence Durbin, Donald Kalmbach, James
Reid, Henry Schiffer, Frazer Staman and Daniel Barry.
OTHERS PRESENT:
Director Kenneth Van Natta and Mr. Gilbert Savage, architect.
The minutes of the October 10, 1968 meeting were discussed.
Moved by Mr. Carey, supported by Mr. Schiffer, that
the minutes be approved as written.
Motion carried.
The meeting was called for the purpose of opening bids for the
Davisburg Clubhouse.
At 10:00 a.m. Mr. Van Natta opened all bids. Mr. Savage read the
bids.
It was moved by Mr. Carey, supported by Mr. Barry,
that all bids be recorded for tabulation.
The following bids were submitted:
Linney Construction Company $174,970.00
Schwanz Construction Company 187,626.00
Murphy and Haertter 162,700.00
Schurrer Construction 173,609.00
Mc De Company 158,000.00
Discussion followed concerning bids.
Moved by Mr. Carey, supported by Mr. Schiffer, that
all bids be rejected and plans referred to the
Building sub -committee and that the project be re -
advertised and new bids taken.
Motion carried.
All contractors to be notified of this action.

Mr. Savage was then instructed to submit revised plans to the
sub -committee.

The sub -committee will meet on November 26, 1968 at 9:30 a.m.
Mr. Van Natta reported to the Commission that he had been asked
if the Parks and Recreation Commission would be interested in
sponsoring a musical education for an Indian girl. Discussion
followed. The sponsorship will be discussed further at a later
date.
Moved by Mr. Staman, supported by Mr. Carey, that
the meeting be adjourned.
Meeting adjourned at 12:00 noon.
