June 3, 1971
The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman Velma Austin
at Addison -Oaks at 1:15 p.m.
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT:
Chairman Clark, Vice Chairman Austin, Secretary Schiffer,
Mr. Barry, Mr. Durbin, Mr. Mainland, Mr. McGovern, Mr. O'Brien,
Mr. Nick and Mr. Richardson.
ALSO PRESENT:
Mr. Van Natta
Moved by Mr. Durbin, supported by Mr. O'Brien that
approval of the minutes of May 21, 1971 be waived
until the next regular meeting.
Motion carried.
Mr. Van Natta reported that proposals for architectural ser-
vices for the new clubhouse at Springfield -Oaks have been
received from the firms of Denyes and Freeman; Gilbert Savage;
and O'Dell,- Hewlett and Luckenbach. These proposals were read
to the Commission.
Discussion followed concerning the awarding of the project and
the different costs involved for the architectural work.
Moved by Mr. O'Brien, supported by Mr. Barry, that
the architectural firm of O'Dell, Hewlett, and
Luckenbach, Inc. be engaged to design the new
clubhouse for Springfield -Oaks Golf Course.
A secret ballot vote was requested.
Tabulated vote: 6 ayes; 4 nays.
Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:45 p.m. Luncheon for the County
Board of Commissioners followed.
