HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 1972.07.12 - 38445PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING July 12, 1972 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Frances Clark at 9:30 a.m. in the Parks and Recreation Commission room. COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Clark, Vice -Chairman Nick, Mr. Durbin Mr. McGovern, Mr. Jawors, Mr. Mainland, Mr. O'Brien, Mr. Richards and Mr. Richardson. COMMISSION MEMBERS ABSENT: Secretary Schiffer ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Reickel and Evelyn Dysarz - DAily Tribune White Lake -Oaks DisDensin�z Svstem Mr. Reickel reported to the Commission that the cash register specified in the W.F. Whitney equipment list was inadequate for use at White Lake. After meeting with the National Cash Register representative, it was felt a more comprehensive system was needed for portion control and auditing. Cost for this type of register would be $2,500 to $3,500. Discussion followed concerning National Cash Register's dispensing system which includes the adequate cash register at the total cost of $9,000 to $10,000 versus the previous discussed Bar Boy system at an approximate cost of $6,000 without the cash register. Moved by Mr. Richards, supported by Mr. Jawors to withdraw the motion of June 23, 1972 to work with Michigan Carbonic and the Director check further with National Cash Register. Motion carried. Springfield -Oaks Liquor License Mr. Reickel reported the liquor license was approved by the Springfield Township Board. At this time, there is no recommendation for a dispensing system at Springfield. Adams Woods Discussion followed regarding the purchase of Adams Woods and the agreement presented by the Adams Woods Advisory Council. Page 2 (Commission Meeting 7/12/72) Mr. Jawors was excused at 10:30 a.m. Moved by Mr. McGovern, supported by Mr. Richards to accept the agreement to purchase Adams Woods but no action be taken until recommendation from the Director.
