OAKLAND COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
May 3, 1974
The meeting was called to order by Chairman E. Frank Richardson in
the Parks and Recreation Commission Room.
PRESENT:
Chairman Richardson, Secretary Wint, Velma Austin, Frances Clark,
George Kuhn, William Richards, Marjorie Walker, Richard Wilcox.
ABSENT•
Vice -Chairman Dunleavy, Donald Nick.
ALSO PRESENT:
R. Eric Reickel; Pauline McCormick; Arnold Johnston; Ralph Kingzett,
Oakland Press; and William Willoughby, Royal Oak Tribune.
The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing the 1974
Capital Financing Schedule.
Topics discussed:
New Projects - $150,000.00 Fencing - Addison -Oaks.
Delete Fencing at Addison -Oaks; transfer to Independence -Oaks
Fencing.
New Projects - $12,000.00 Repair Farm House - Groveland-Oaks.
Rather than investing $12,000.00 in repairing building, the
possibility of using one of the rental buildings on Grange Hall Road
as a manager's residence was discussed.
Mr. Richardson suggested we do some repair to farmhouse and consider
building new manager's residence later in year.
Miscellaneous:
Staff was requested to check with townships regarding local ordinance
for placing park entrance signs.
Staff requested to bring in recommendations for revisions on the
Waterford -Oaks master plan.
