PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
SPECIAL MEETING
December 8, 1975
The meeting was called to order at 11:10 a.m. by Chairman E. Frank
Richardson in the Parks and Recreation Commission Room.
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT:
Chairman E. Frank Richardson, Vice Chairman James Dunleavy, Velma Austin,
Dr. Joseph Montante, Richard Vogt, Richard Wilcox.
COMMISSION MEMBERS ABSENT:
Fred Harris, George Kuhn, Lewis Wint
ALSO PRESENT:
R. Eric Reickel; Jon J. Kipke; Pauline McCormick; Chuck Ross; Alan Lenhoff,
Oakland Press; Bill Willoughby, Daily Tribune; Robert J. Salogar, Anthony
M. Franco, Inc.
1976 BUDGET:
Discussed Wave Pool entrance fees and operation of pool for first year.
Moved by Dr. Montante, supported by Mr. Wilcox to accept
the general policy fee schedule for one year.
Motion carried unanimously.
Discussion conducted on revenues and expenditures for Groveland, Independence,
Waterford and White Lake.
Mr. Dunleavy suggested the three new positions for Independence -Oaks be
funded by CETA during 1976 rather than the Parks and Recreation Commission.
The budget will be presented for adoption and the alternate proposal for
the Springfield Youth Activities Center, as prepared by staff, will be
presented to the Commission on Friday, December 12, 1975.
