PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
SPECIAL MEETING
February 19, 1975
The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman Dunleavy at 11:15 a.m.
in the Parks and Recreation Commission Room.
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT:
Vice Chairman Dunleavy, Velma Austin, Dr. Montante, Mr. Vogt, Mr. Wilcox
ALSO PRESENT:
R. Eric Reickel; Jon J. Kipke; Alan Lenhoff, Oakland Press;
Frank Doornweerd, DFO; Mark DeVries, Mark DeVries & Associates.
DIRECTOR'S REPORT:
Springfield -Oaks, "Battle of the Bands": Mr. Reickel requested
permission to add an Addendum to the Agreement by and between the
Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission and Space Time
Productions to allow the Promoter two additional concert dates:
March 7 and April 5, 1975, based upon satisfactory performance of
the Febraury 22 concert.
Moved by Mr. Wilcox, supported by Mrs. Austin to approve
two addtional concerts based upon satisfactory performance
of February 22 concert.
Motion carried.
Chairman Richardson arrived at 11:30 a.m.
Commission Meeting Dates: Next scheduled meeting; Friday, March 7,
10:00 a.m, and March 14 if sufficient business warrants holding a
meeting.
SPRINGFIELD-OAKS GOLF COURSE:
Mark DeVries, Mark DeVries & Associates, reviewed the work done in
1974 and also covered the new design for the renovation of the old
nine at Springfield -Oaks Golf Course. He requested permission to go
out for bid in three parts; (1) Satellite Controllers, pump and
electrical work in pumphouse (2) mass grading, landscaping and irrig-
ation work and (3) relocation of the west boundary fence. Bids for
mass grading and landscaping will be received on April 2 to be awarded
April 11.
Moved by Mr. Dunleavy, supported by Mr. Wilcox that the
Parks and Recreation Commission proceed with the bids for
the second nine of Springfield -Oaks Golf Course as requested
by the Architect.
Motion Carried.

WHITE LAKE -OAKS PROPERTY:
Chairman Richardson reported that a purchase price of $2000 per
acre had been offered to the Commission on the 27 acres west of
White Lake -Oaks.
Moved by Dr. Montante, supported by Mr. Wilcox to
accept the offer to purchase at $2000 per acre.

YEAS: Dr. Montante, Mr. Vogt, Mr. Wilcox, Mrs. Austin
Mr. Dunleavy, Mr. Richardson (6)
NAYS: 0
Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Mr. Dunleavy, supported by Mr. Wilcox to adjourn
meeting.
