COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Lewis Wint, Vice Chairman Carol Stanley, Secretary Jean Fox, George Kuhn, Walter Moore, Daniel Murphy, Richard Wilcox COMMISSION MEMBERS ABSENT: Harold Cousins, Pecky Lewis, Jr., Richard Vogt ALSO PRESENT: Parks and Recreation Oakland Parks Foundation Anthony M. Franco, Inc. Daily Tribune APPROVAL OF MINUTES: R. Eric Reickel, Manager Jon J. Kipke, Assistant Manager C. L. Ross, Chief, Administrative Services Joseph Figa, Chief, Design & Development Janet Pung, Public Communications Officer Arnold Johnston, Chief of Parks Mike Thibodeau, Chief of Golf Courses Sheila Cox, Accountant Donna Bullard, Trustee Rockwood Bullard, Spouse Dorothy Langan Steve Finlay Moved by Mr. Kuhn, supported by Mr. Wilcox to approve the minutes of the meeting of June 6, 1984, as written. Motion carried. APPROVAL OF VOUCHERS: Moved by Mrs. Fox, supported by Mrs. Stanley to approve the payment of Vouchers 6-1 through 6-174. ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES: Fox, Kuhn, Murphy, Stanley, Wilcox, Wint (6) NAYS: (0) A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the motion carried. 3-1 (Commission Meeting, June 20, 1984) Page 2 STATEMENT OF 0,E RATIONS: Moved by Mrs. Stanley, supported by Mr. Wilcox to receive the Statement of Operations as of May 31, 1984. Motion carried. ACTIVITIES REPORT: Moved by Mrs. Stanley, supported by Mr. Wilcox to receive the Activities Report as of May 31, 1984. Motion carried. MANAGER'S REPORT: ---Informed the Commission that, because of new deadlines set by the Secretary of State for candidates to register, the primary election will probably be sometime in September. The Secretary of State's office has not yet set a date. ---Jan Pung brought the Commission up to date on the progress being made on the millage renewal. ---Received a note from Betty Guest thanking the Commission for the flowers sent to her while she has been off sick from work. ---The Commission's park tour itinerary has been set as follows: Walk from the Administrative office to the Recreation Office Building, Accounting offices, Technical Support, and the Waterford Oaks Tennis Complex White Lake Oaks Glen Oaks; lunch Red Oaks; then back to office.
