PUBLIC HEARING
1988 OPERATING BUDGET
December 2. 1987
The public hearing for the 1988 operating budget was called to order at 9:12 a.m.
by Chairman Lewis Wint in the Parks and Recreation Commission's conference room.

Manager Richard noted that the proposed revenue budget for 1988 is $8,604,650,
up 4.7% over the estimated actual for 1987. The proposed operating budget for
1987 is $6,986,248, with the balance of revenue over operating funds for new opera-
ting equipment and capital development.
In response to a request from Mr. David Fritzinger, the Commission took under
advisement the possibility of providing lights around the Lakeshore Trail at Inde-
pendence Oaks and extending the hours during the winter for night skiing. Staff
will study the possibilities and bring recommendations back to the Commission.
No other questions were asked; therefore, the public hearing was declared closed
at 9:35 a.m.
