Manager Richard noted that the 1989 budget is the same as proposed by staff at
the budget review, with a proposed revenue budget of $9,327,300, up 6.4% over
the estimated actual for 1988. The proposed operating budget for 1988 is $7,625,975,
with the balance of revenue over operating funds for new operating equipment and
capital development. He also reviewed the fees and charges, noting the proposed
increases.
Assistant Manager Kipke recommended approval of two changes in the fees and charges
for the Springfield Oaks YAC that were overlooked during the budget review:
Multi -Purpose Room: Rate for receptions be changed from $375 to $425,
which is the same proposed rate for receptions in the Exhibit Hall.
Outdoor Arena: Horse Shows; fee remain the same at $125.
Special Events, change "with tickets--15% of gross ticket
sales; no ticket sales --negotiable" to read "negotiable."
Commission concurred with staff's recommendation.
No questions were asked; therefore, the public hearing was declared closed at
9:31 a.m.
