CHAIRMAN'S REPORT:
---The Orion Oaks millage information was presented to the Planning and Building
Committee at its meeting of Tuesday, August 8. The Committee supported the pro-
posal for the one-year, one-time 00.50 millage unanimously; however, this proposal
must also be addressed by the Finance Committee and the Board of Commissioners.
---Staff has been notified that the current option on the rookery property in
Lyon Township will be expiring in a short time. If the option is not renewed,
we would like to get an option and negotiate for the purchase of this property.
Corporation Counsel has advised staff to present this as an informational item
in a closed session to the Planning and Building Committee to make them aware
we are pursuing this, in order to be in a position to purchase if the opportunity
presents itself.
The next Commission meeting will be Wednesday, September 6, 1989, at 9:30 a.m.
Moved by Mr. Vogt, supported by Mr. Lewis to adjourn.
Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:35 p.m. to complete the annual parks tour.
