NEW BUSINESS: Commissioner Tomboulian informed the Commission that she had been approached by a family in Bloomfield Township about the possibility of a donation of a parcel 3b-2 (Commission Meeting, April 6, 1990) that includes a home and botanical garden, along with an endowment fund for the property's upkeep, to the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission. The one stipulation on the acceptance of this gift would be that the property must remain as is. The location of the property is easily accessible, but could be a problem because of its location in the middle of a residential area; limitations may have to be made on the number of people visiting the garden in one day. Commission expressed concern about accepting a gift that might be too restrictive to the public. Staff will meet with the family and review the property. Zoning clarification will also be received in order to update the Commission and to make a recommenda- tion. The next meeting will be Wednesday, April 18, at 9 a.m. The meeting was adjourned at 9:55 a.m. c. Cal Pecky D Lewis, Jr. Secretary i Karen Smith Recording Secretary 3b-3
