HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 1968.11.26 - 39442PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION DAVISBURG BUILDING SUB -COMMITTEE MEETING November 26, 1968 The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. at the Parks and Recreation Office. COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: Clarence Durbin, Velma Austin and Henry Schiffer. OTHERS PRESENT: Director Kenneth Van Natta and architect, Mr. Gilbert Savage. Mr. Savage reported to the committee that he had met with the contractor who submitted the lowest bid for Davisburg Clubhouse. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss possible cost reduction. A new contract proposal with reductions was presented for $128,463.00. After much discussion the sub -committee decided to scrap the entire old plan and strive for a building that was within a budget appropriation and to be designed with a rustic effect. Next meeting to be in January. The architectural fee to be a not to exceed figure. Mr. Savage is to be reimbursed for his services already submitted. Meeting adjourned at 12:00.
