Mrs. Frances P. Clark, Chairman
Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission
Dear Mrs. Clark:
It is with genuine regret that I must ask you
to accept my resignation as a member of the Parks
and Recreation Commission effective May 31, 1969.
The addition of the new District Courts and
the further requirement for jurors for the Probate
Courts, makes it virtually impossible for me to
attend your meetings.
The Oakland County Parks Commission and its
director have done an excellent job of land
acquisition at most reasonable terms and suit-
ability for recreational activities. I am pleased
to have had a small part in this activity.
Your director is well qualified to carry on
the policies determined by the Commission to be in
the best interests of Oakland County and its people.
He should keep you informed on all phases and types
of modern recreational practice. He should watch
for attempts to encroach upon the powers delegated
by the people to the Parks Commission.
The privilege of serving with all of you for
the past three years is indeed appreciated by
Yours sincerely,
ohn L. Carey,
ice -Chairman
