Dear Mrs. Austin:
You have requested my opinion as to whether the tenure of
Carl O'Brien as a member of the Oakland County Parks and
Recreation Commission terminates when he ceases to be a
member of the Oakland County Board o ` Commissioners.
Mr. O'Brien was appointed to the Parks and Recreation Com-
mission for a specific term of office, i.e. a term expiring
at noon on January 1, 1973. Mr. O'B.cien's tenure was not
limited as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner to his tenure
as a member of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners.
Therefore, while Mr. O'Brien will no longer be a member of
the Oakland County Board of Commissioners, he will continue
