AGENDA ITEM #5
Road Commission Request
White Lake -Oaks
It has been requested by the Oakland County Road Commission that we
dedicate 27 feet of additional right-of-way that is required to
conform to the 60-foot Master Plan Right -of -Way for Williams Lake
Road.
Under normal conditions this right-of-way should have been dedicated
prior to the Road Commission permitting us to proceed with the black
topping:of White Lake -Oaks. They have allowed us to proceed with
the black topping of the area but requests that the Commission adopt
a resolution giving them the additional 27 feet.
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Parks and
Recreation Commission dedicate 27 feet of additional
right-of-way to conform to the 60-foot Master Plan Right -
of -Way of the Oakland County Road Commission.

AGENDA ITEM #7
State Recreation Grant - Swimming Pool
Waterford -Oaks
Joseph Joachim of Swanson Associates, Inc. and myself took a field
trip on September 11 and 12, 1972 to inspect two Olympic size indoor
swimming facilities. The first one we visited was the Keating
Natatorium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The second facility was the Tree
Natatorium at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The purpose of this field trip was to gain some insight as to what
type of program to develop for the proposed swimming pool for
Waterford -Oaks.
Mr. Joachim will have a presentation available for the Commission
this Friday for you to review so he can get some direction as to how
the Commission wishes to proceed. It is our thought that at the time
being we will present a proposal for a pool, Olympic size (75 feet wide
and 165 feet long) with a toddler pool along with the support facilities
that go along with it.
We are looking forward to presenting this proposal to the Commission
and hope that it will find a proposal to its liking.
