ITEM # 5
INDEPENDENCE -OAKS ENGINEERING SERVICES
Approval has been given to Ellis, Arndt and Truesdell,
consultants for Independence-Oaks,to contract with Kieft
Engineering for the purpose of providing certain survey
services that are necessary for developing the final design
of the First Phase of Independence -Oaks.
Authorization was given for a range between $6000 and $8500.
This expense is part of the projected budget for this project.
This has been reviewed with the chairman and official
authorization is requested.
ITEM # 6
INDOOR SWIMMING POOL
WATERFORD-OAKS
Since the 4S day period has expired, it is recommended
that all bids for the indoor swimming pool be rejected
and that a re -bid be considered at a later date depending
upon overall availability of funding.
ITEM #7
WATERFORD-OAKS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE
SEWER TAP -IN FEE
The total fee for tying into the Waterford Township Sanitary
Sewer System is $7015. This includes the sewer permit. The
criterion used for assessing this property parcel was
333 feet which takes in all of the frontage that we have on
Watkins Lake Road.
We only plan on tying in the administrative office but when
it becomes necessary to tie in the Activities Center, there
would be no front footage charge. This charge was reviewed
by the Department of Facilities and Operations and they
recommended processing the application and payment.
Permission is therefore requested to proceed with the appli
cation for sanitary sewer service.
ITEM # 8
GOLF CARTS
The staff is still investigating the advantage of electric
carts over gasoline. It is expected that a full report
will be available at the commission meeting.
ITEM # 9
MEETING TIME
It is time for the annual review of our Commission meeting
time. Would you kindly determine in your own mind whether
or not the second and fourth Friday A. M. is the best time
for you to meet and, if not, consider when a more appropriate
time might be determined.
