Item #6
BUDGET ANALYSIS

be received and that funds be transferred from the

Item #7
RED RUN CONSULTANT
It is requested that staff be permitted to proceed
with the screening process to recommend to the
Commission a consultant to develop the master plan
for the Red Run Drain.
It is expected that we will be receiving approval
from the Corps of Engineers to proceed on this
project and that it would be to the Commission's
advantage to start looking for a consultant at this
time so no further time is lost.

ADDISON-OAKS
SEWAGE LAGOON SYSTEM
Bids will be opened on Tuesday, September 10, for
the Sewage Lagoon System at Addison -Oaks. If all
goes well, a recommendation will be forthcoming
at the meeting.
It is important that these bids be awarded as soon
as possible so the contractor can get on the job
before winter sets in.
Item #11
PROPERTY PROPOSALS
A series of potential park properties that are on the
market have been submitted to this office and have been
reviewed by staff.
Mr. John Poos of the Greater Bloomfield Real Estate Company
has offered two possible acquisitions. One is a golf
course located in Commerce Township which is quite close
to White Lake.
Another parcel has been offered that is located in Holly
Township and is very near Groveland-Oaks Park. These two
parcels have been reviewed and it is recommended that
Mr. Poos be contacted, thanking him for his interest in
the park system and explaining that the parks commission
is in no position to consider these properties because they
are in areas we already serve.
A third piece of property located in Avon Township and owned
by the State Highway Department was brought to our attention
by the Township of Avon and followed up by a call from
Mr. Joseph Holefca of the Michigan Department of State
Highways as to our interest in a 90 acre site off M-59 that
was used for a borrow pit. This could be a good site for
a municipal park but is not large enough to be considered
for a county park, as well as it is located within the same
area as our Addison -Oaks Park.
It is recommended that this request also be denied.
