Addison -Oaks A. Master plan and report have been submitted to staff for final review, corrected accordingly, and copies of the final plan report to be distributed to the Commission September 27, 1974. B. Sewage Lagoon System 1. Contract awarded to low bidder, Roger L. Howell Construc- tion, for the amount of $196,618.60 by the Parks and Recreation Commission September 13, 1974. 2. Parks and Recreation has secured a new use permit and is awaiting the construction permit from D.N.R. 3. The project is still scheduled completed in late fall of 1974 with final site restoration to be done in spring of 1975. 4. Pre -contract meeting with contractor, Parks and Recreation staff, and D.F.O. September 26, 1974. C. Conference Center 1. Contract awarded to low bidder, Grunwell-Cashero Company, Inc., for the amount of $49,860.00 by Parks and Recreation Commission September 13, 1974. 2. Pre -construction meeting held with contractor, Parks and Recreation staff, and D.F.O. September 17, 1974. 3. The Contractor intends to start work on or about October 1, 1974, and estimates the work to be completed by December 1, 1974, if weather conditions permit. II. Independence -Oaks A. Consulting firm of Ellis, Arndt & Truesdell have completed plans and specifications for Phase I construction. 1. Plans are still in the process of receiving final approval from the following agencies: a. D.N.R. Building Division b. D.N.R. Grants -in -Aid Division C. State Handicapped Division Park Development Progress Report 74-3 Page 2 2. Tentative project schedule a. Advertise for bids in first part of October. b. Award bids in last of October or first part of November. B. Boundary Survey 1. Boundary survey by the firm of Finney -Carnahan has been completed. 2. Boundary alignment was completely walked and inspected by survey consultant, Parks and Recreation staff, and master plan consultant. 3. Staff to meet and make recommendation for type of fencing to be used as well as the alignment adjustments as required for the preservation of natural features. III. Springfield -Oaks A. Springfield -Oaks Fairground Exposition concept presented to Parks and Recreation Commission September 20, 1974. B. Springfield -Oaks Golf Course - Back Nine Construction 1. Phase I - Rough grading completed. 2. Phase II - Final grading, construction, tees greens and trap, seeding and fertilizing completed. 3. Phase II - Irrigation contract a. Irrigation system 90% complete with final completion due the first week of October. 4. Phase II - Electrical contract completed. .5. Phase II - Well Connection 90% complete. IV. Groveland-Oaks A. Consulting firm of Anderson & Lesniak presented present land use analysis and proposed land use to staff for review. Consultant is now in the process of revising master plan to meet the recommendations and operational input of Parks staff. V. Waterford -Oaks A. Consulting firm of Anderson & Lesniak preparing revised master plan allowing for phased development of park. I t em #7 ADDISON-OAKS MASTER PLAN Bills and Childs recently presented to staff the com- pleted booklet on the Master Plan for Addison -Oaks. As you recall, the Commission approved the concept of the Master Plan months back but it has taken Bills & Childs a considerable amount of time to compile the final copy. The booklet is enclosed for your review and discussion.
