Please find attached a copy of the recommended park pass
list for 1975. There are no additions to this list
since last year.
We have been requested to include department heads who
have had an extensive amount of service and have retired
such as Leo Halfpenny, R. J. Alexander and Bob Lilly.
I have no objections to this recommendation and will leave
it up to you to inform me whether or not you wish to pro—
ceed in this manner.
It is best not to discuss this at the meeting so please
contact me if you have any additions or deletions.

RESOLUTION FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
MICHIGAN ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES
WHEREAS, THE OAKLAND COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION,
an arm of the Oakland County government, feels that the Michigan
Association of Counties Board of Directors should create a committee
comprised of its members to keep abreast of Parks and Recreation
concerns for counties in the State of Michigan and
WHEREAS, there are an increasing number of counties creating
parks and recreation commissions,
THEREFORE it would be in the best interests of the Michigan
Association of Counties to recognize this most important and viable
field of leisure time concerns
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED ON THIS DAY OF
1975, that the OAKLAND COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION,
approve this resolution and send it to the Board of Directors of the
Michigan Association of Counties.

PARK SECURITY
Based upon comments at the last Commission meeting, it is
recommended that the County Safety Division be used to provide
security in the County Parks System if the following requirements
are met:
1. Must have authority to arrest (deputized)
2. Must be properly trained in law enforcement and
Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission
Park Philosophy.
3. Must be responsive to Oakland County Parks and
Recreation needs.
- Availability (when needed)
- Uniform appearance
- Conduct and attitude
- Administration requirements
4. Chief of Safety is directly accountable to the
Director of Oakland County Parks and Recreation
Commission.
- Provide weekly reports
5. Evaluate at the end of the year.
