Re: Waterford -Oaks Phase I Development,
County Project 75-13
Dear Commissioners:
On March 16 bids for the three trades as shown on the
attached Bid Tabulation Sheets were received. The bids have
been reviewed by all parties involved and award of Contracts
are recommended as follows:
(1) Glass and Glazing e Peterson Glass Company,
Ferndale, Michigan ® $1,515.00
(2) Bike Racks a Beck Recreational Sales Company,
Royal Oak, Michigan m $1,561.55
(3) Asphalt Paving m Stolaruk Asphalt Paving,
Southfield, Michigan m $56,000.00
All bids are within the budget established for that trade with
asphalt paving, $19,000.00 below the estimate.
The low bidder for the asphalt paving has requested withdrawal
of his bid because of an apparent bid error and it is recommended
that this request be granted and the award made as indicated to
the second low bidder, Stolaruk Asphalt Paving Company. The
alternate proposed by this firm is being reviewed and if acceptable
will be included by a Change Order after Contracts are awarded.
Public Works Building, One Public Works Drive, Pontiac, Michigan 48054 (313) 858-0125
-2- March 19, 1976
Only one bid was received for each of the other two trades
and Mr. Sinclair from Parton -pia low Company will be at your
March 26 meeting to answer any questions in regard to -the
bidding procedure they have used,
The award of contracts will again be contingent upon
State Department of Natural Resources approval.
