GLEN OAKS ARCHITECTS PROPOSALS

sent to the architects, asking them to submit proposals pertaining
to the work we want done at Glen Oaks.

The Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission
invites you to submit proposals for work to be performed
at Glen -Oaks County Park, located in Farmington Hills.
The scope of work to be performed is outlined on
the attached summary. Each section should be reviewed
and developed so that work can commence on any individual
item or collectively as directed by the Commission.
A review of this facility is recommended and can be
arranged through our office.
Proposals should include your firms capabilities,
staff, required man hours and time frame involved in the
completion of each of the four (4) sections.
The proposals are to. be forwarded to Oakland County
Parks and Recreation Commission, 2800 Watkins Lake Road,
Pontiac, MI 48054 by Monday, December 18, 1978.
The proposals are then to be presented to the Parks
and Recreation Commission by a representative of your
firm on Wednesday, December 20, 1978.

SCOPE OF WORK
FOR
GLEN -OAKS COUNTY PARK
PART I - IMMEDIATE NEEDS
1. Review existing use, conditions and needs
essential to the basic operation by the
Oakland County Parks and Recreation Com-
mission and the concessionaire as related
to required local, county and state codes.
(See attached list of recommended code
corrections.)
2. Develop recommendations for necessary
alterations or new components to satisfy
the code requirements and immediate needs.
This should include: materials, costs,
necessary drawings and time frame.
PART II - INTERIOR LONG RANGE PLANS
Develop recommendations for the following components.
1. Spatial and circulation requirements based
on both immediate and future use and re-
quirements of owner and concessionaire.
2. Incorporation of barrier free design as re-
quired.
3. Basic review of the mechanical, electrical
and heating systems to produce an efficient
and cost effective operation.
4. Review interior condition as related to the
original architectural style. Develop recom-
mendations for required renovations in keeping
with the historical aspects of the structure.
PART III - EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS
Review exterior condition of structure and develop recom-
mendations for any new alterations or restorations based
on the new uses, code requirements or general architectural
improvements.

PART IV - SITE IMPROVEMENTS
Review and develop recommendations for the area immediately
adjacent to the clubhouse. This should include: parking,
ingress, egress, golf cart staging area, exclusive of the
golf course.
