Once again this year we have combined the requisitions of Parks & Recreation
and DFO To obtain the best price possible. The above quotations for Parks
requirements only.
Together with Mike Thibodeau and Tom Lepping, we have examined the low
bidder's product to determine if it would be acceptable. W.F. Miller has
submitted a letter of analysis and a bag of the fertilizer, both of which
appear to be in accordance with our specifications.
DFO Grounds used their fertilizer last year and experienced no problems with
application and had no adverse effects on their lawns.
For the above reasons, we recommend awarding the order to the low bidder,

TWO SNOWMOBILES
ADDISON OAKS
The replacement of two snowmobiles for Addison Oaks is planned
for the 1981 budget.
Due to the economic climate, it would be prudent to replace them
now. The dealers and manufacturers are giving good discounts
because of the lack of snow which resulted in large inventories
on hand.
The following bids were received by Purchasing:
Blizzard 9500 $2447.10
Blizzard 5500 1835.10
Citation 4500 E 1659.00
Manufactured by Bombardier:
Ski Doo 1787.00
Polaris 1787.00
Galixy 1787.00
Manfactured by Artic:
Artic Cat 1980 Jag
F/C-3000 1525.50
Artic is offering machines at $100 below GSA price which is $200
under dealer invoice.
Staff recommends purchasing two Artic Cat Snowmobiles at $1525.50
each; total price, $3051.
