ITEM #6
WATERFORD OAKS WAVE POOL
FENCE REPLACEMENT
Staff feels that the four -foot fencing at the Wave Pool
separating the concession area from the Wave Pool deck should be
replaced with a seven -foot fence to alleviate potential health
problems. The seven -foot fencing will be uniform in height with
the existing fence around the pool deck.
At the present time patrons are jumping the fence to go into
the Wave Pool from the concession area without going through the
shower facilities. In addition, food is being passed over the fence.
We have received the following prices from Purchasing for the
fence replacement:
Zappie Fence $3,840
Cyclone Fence 3,500
Mark Fence No Bid
Anchor Fence No Bid
Staff concurs with Purchasing and recommends the award be made
to Cyclone Fence in the amount of $3,500.
This fence is to be erected during evening hours as soon as
possible.
Funds for this expenditure are available in the building
maintenance budget.
ITEM #7
RED OAKS WATER COMPLEX
(Tentative)
We have not heard from the Drain Board as to whether or not the
appraisals have been received and approved by them.
In anticipation that they will be ready by our meeting, we should
be prepared to discuss an agreeable purchase price. Contingent
upon an agreeable price, you may want to authorize the design of
the facility in order to try and maintain a progressive schedule
toward the completion of this project.
