ITEM CATEGORY SPONSORED BY Resolution Angela Powell INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND The Board of Commissioners, via MR #22268, authorized a one-time appropriation not to exceed $200,000 in American Rescue Plan Act - Local Fiscal Recovery Funds to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office budget to address safety concerns by creating one (1) Deputy II position to be assigned to the School District of the City of Pontiac. The Deputy has received one (1) marked patrol vehicle with cell phone, mobile radio, prep radio, MDC, and Video Camera to be added to the County fleet. This position is scheduled to sunset on August 31, 2023. NOWTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners authorizes a one-timeappropriationnottoexceed$200,000 in American Rescue Plan Act -Local Fiscal Recovery Funds to theOaklandCountySheriff's Office budget to address safety concems by creating one (1)DeputyII position to be assigned to the School District of the City of Pontiac.- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED thatone (1)marked patrol vehicle with cell phone,mobile radio,prep radio. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that approval of appropriation of American Rescue Plan Act —LocalFiscal Recovery Funds for programs and services by Oakland County shall not obligate a commitmentof the General Fund unless authorized by action of the Board ofCommissioners. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a budget amendmentappropriating funds for the costs associated with adding one (1)School Resource Officer in the School District of the City of Pontiac will be included in a subsequent quarterly forecast resolution.
