Fund (#40400) as detailed in Schedule A.

INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
Renovate the existing North Men’s and Women’s toilet rooms at the Courthouse Complex Board of
Commissioners Auditorium Building. All Board of Commissioners meetings must be
open/accessible to the public per the Open Meetings Act (OMA), the restroom facility at the Board of
Commissioners Auditorium should comply with ADA (Americans with Disability Act) standards. In
accordance with Purchasing Division policies and procedures, Facilities Planning and Engineering
(FP&E) and the Purchasing Division solicited proposals from competitively bid contractors to
renovate the existing North Men’s and Women’s toilet rooms at the Courthouse Complex Board of
Commissioners Auditorium Building to create accessible all-gender toilet room(s), from annual
competitively bid and selected contractors. The total project cost is $207,413, including $112,951
for construction, $26,200 for electrical, $10,000 for miscellaneous owner costs, $600 for signage,
$20,224 for professional service fees, and $37,438 for contingencies. Funding in the amount of
$207,413 is available for transfer from the FY 2024 Capital Improvement Program/Building
Improvement Fund (#40100) to the Project Work Order Fund (#40400) for the FY2024 Board of
Commissioners Auditorium Building Accessible Toilet Rooms Renovation.
